asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many schemes relating to endowments have been received by the Scottish Education Department from the commissioners appointed under the Act of 1928 since 1932 up to the present date; and the number of endowments involved?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Mr. Skelton)

The number of schemes submitted under Section 20 of the Act during the period from 1st January, 1932, to 1st December, 1934, was 58, and the number of endowments involved was 568.

The number of schemes submitted to the Department and now under consideration is 27, comprising 403 endowments.
