Friend has reminded highway authorities of their powers under the Road Traffic Act, 1930, to take over toll 927 roads and bridges and of his willingness to consider, so far as funds will permit, applications which may be made for assistance towards expenditure thus incurred. He must rely upon the responsible highway authorities to bring individual schemes to his notice.
