§ 38. Mr. LAWS0Nasked the Minister of Health the number of applications by local authorities for loans to carry out public works; how many "have been accepted and passed by him; and whether grants have been refused in any case?
§ Mr. SHAKESPEAREMy right hon. None of the schemes included in the latter amount would have earned education or road grants.
Mr. H. WILLIAM'SIs the hon. Gentleman aware that some of the local authorities are borrowing too much to spend on public works?
