HC Deb 05 July 1933 vol 280 c320
12. Mr. DORAN

asked the Minister of Transport if he will consider the advisability of introducing early legislation compelling all automatically-propelled vehicles to carry automatic stop-lights controlled by the foot brake?

Mr. STANLEY

The Departmental Committee on Traffic Signs do not recommend that the use of stop-lights should be made compulsory, and I am not disposed to disagree with their conclusions on this point.
