HC Deb 27 February 1933 vol 275 c4
5. Mr. D. GRENFELL

asked the Secretary of State for India whether the Government of India will consider the advisability, in connection with the forthcoming Budget, of taking steps with a view to securing a rise in the level of prices of Indian commodities?

Mr. BUTLER

While the Government of India would greatly welcome a rise in the level of the world price of Indian commodities, I am not aware of the measures in connection with the Budget that the hon. Member may have in mind for achieving this end.
