HC Deb 04 April 1933 vol 276 cc1571-2
40. Mr. PIKE

asked the Home Secretary if he has considered the communication received from the clerk to the Sidcup Urban District Council dated 15th March, 1933; and if he will make a statement?

Sir J. GILMOUR

Yes, I have considered the communication, and I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of the reply which I have addressed to the council.

56. Mr. PIKE

asked the Minister of Health if he has considered the resolutions of both the Sidcup Urban District Council and the Chislehurst Urban District Council protesting against, and withdrawing from, the suggested amalgamation scheme; and whether, in view of the requests of both these principal authorities not to proceed with the scheme, he will state what action he intends to take?

Mr. SHAKESPEARE

My right hon. Friend has the matter referred to in the question under consideration, but is not yet in a position to give a decision.
