HC Deb 04 April 1933 vol 276 c1562
29. Colonel GRETTON

asked the President of the Board of Trade if his attention has been called to the large quantity of wooden doors imported, especially from Soviet Russia and the United States of America, at prices below costs of production of similar doors in this country; and if he intends to take measures to check this class of imports at abnormally low prices?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I would remind my right hon. Friend that the Import Duties Advisory Committee have given notice that they are considering the rates of duty on all classes and descriptions of wood and timber and manufactures thereof, including doors.
