26. Mr. REMER (for Mr. HANNON)

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will give a statement showing the value of the imports into Great Britain from Canada and the ex- ports from Great Britain to Canada during the financial year which has just ended and the previous financial year ended 31st March, 1932, respectively; and, as at the latest date, the figures representing Canadian trade with the British Empire in the current financial year and the corresponding period of the previous financial year?

As the answer involves a number of figures, I will circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the answer:

Particulars of the value of the trade between the United Kingdom and Canada during the last financial year are not yet available. During the nine months ended December, 1931 and 1932, the declared value of merchandise imported into and exported from (a) the United Kingdom in the trade with Canada and (b) Canada in the trade with all British countries (including the United Kingdom) was as follows:
