HC Deb 24 November 1932 vol 272 c229
32. Captain CUNNINGHAM-REID

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office under what War Office regulation or paragraph of King's Regulations action is taken by his Department to refuse officers' pay being transmitted to them by telegraph by Army agents?

Mr. COOPER

My hon. and gallant Friend is under a misapprehension. It is merely a matter of the officer arranging to pay the cost of the telegram; and I am taking steps to simplify any difficulty that may have arisen in the matter.

Captain CUNNINGHAM-REID

Seeing that a decision to the contrary was reported to have been given at a court-martial held at Blackdown on the 15th of this month, will the hon. Member look into it?

Mr. COOPER

I shall be glad to do so.
