HC Deb 10 May 1932 vol 265 cc1723-4
66. Mr. HUTCHISON

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that is has been found impossible to fill the vacany recently created at Noak Hill sub-post office as a result of the remuneratinn offered being only 10s. per week; and whether, in view of the inconvenience which will be caused to the inhabitants if this sub-post office should be obliged to close down, he will consider the desirability of increasing the remuneration available?

Mr. WHITE

I am aware of the difficulty which has arisen; but I understand

that a suitable candidate is now likely to be forthcoming at the authorised rates.
