HC Deb 10 May 1932 vol 265 cc1722-3
65. Mr. HUTCHISON

asked the Postmaster-General to how many firms and individuals, respectively, air-mail leaflets have been distributed during each of the bi-annual distributions since these were commenced; and on what principle the addressees are chosen?

Mr. WHITE

Exact figures are not available as the leaflets are distributed locally. The number of leaflets printed for each bi-annual distribution has grown from 70,000 in 1927 to 145,000. The distribution is made to firms and individuals known to have foreign correspondence and to anyone who applies for a copy of the leaflet to be sent regularly to him. The lists of addressees are continually being revised and extended.
