HC Deb 07 March 1932 vol 262 c1466
30. Mr. LIDDALL

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware of the danger of the spreading of foot-and-mouth disease in Great Britain by allowing foreign hay and straw to be imported either for consumption or packing from countries where the disease is rampant; and if he will take steps to prevent such disease carriers coming into this country?

Sir J. GILMOUR

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave on the 3rd March to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Mile End (Dr. O'Donovan) on this subject.
