HC Deb 07 March 1932 vol 262 c1466
29. Mr. LIDDALL

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will take the necessary steps to prevent the importation of potatoes from countries known to have land infected with wart disease so as to safeguard the clean lands of potato-growing areas like Lincolnshire?

Sir J. GILMOUR

The existing regulations under the Destructive Insects and Pests Acts have proved effective in preventing the entry of wart disease, and I see no reason, therefore, for the imposition of further restrictions.
