HC Deb 07 March 1932 vol 262 cc1466-7
31. Mr. McENTEE

asked the Minister of Agriculture what extra staff it is estimated will be required to carry out the work in connection with the Wheat Bill; from what source they are to be obtained; and whether the appointments are to be of a permanent or temporary character?

Sir J. GILMOUR

I am not at present able to give any estimate of the staff or the source of its recruitment that will be employed by the Wheat Commission or the Flour Millers' Corporation that will be set up under the Wheat Bill. So far as my Department is concerned, I do not anticipate that any substantial increase of staff will be required.

Mr. McENTEE

Are the late inspectors to be reinstated?

Sir J. GILMOUR

That is another question.
