19. Captain BALFOURasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air if the 1094 Air Ministry are prepared to extend on the same terms and to the same extent to unsubsidised British commercial aircraft operators such aerodrome facilities and loans of equipment as have been granted to Imperial Airways, Limited?
§ Sir P. SASSOONIn general, the various aerodromes and landing grounds used by Imperial Airways are available, on payment of the usual aerodrome fees, for use by other aircraft, whether private or commercial, which thus derive full benefit from the capital expenditure incurred upon their construction and maintenance. If and when at some future date the Air Ministry has occasion to negotiate with other undertakings for the inauguration of important services, these undertakings will, of course, receive precisely the same consideration as Imperial Airways according to the circumstances of each particular case.
§ Sir P. SASSOONOn the African route they pay the full fees, but not on the Indian route.
