HC Deb 04 February 1932 vol 261 c261
81. Mr. MILNE

asked the Secretary for Mines, with regard to the explosion at Bowhill Colliery, Fife, what steps he proposes to take to ensure that the recommendations made by the jury at the recent fatal accident inquiry shall be carried into effect; and whether he proposes to make any further investigation into the causes of the explosion?

The SECRETARY for MINES (Mr. Isaac Foot)

The fatal accident inquiry ended on 25th January, and I have asked for a copy of the verbatim report of the evidence, on which to consider the question of further action. In the meantime, work has not been resumed in the section of the pit in which the explosion occurred.
