asked the Minister of Labour the number of unemployed in the Faversham Division at the latest date and the respective occupations of such persons; and what action is being taken to provide work for the unemployed in that district?

As the reply includes a number of figures I will, if I may, circulate a statement in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the statement:

* Namely, the Faversham, Sittingbourne and Sheerness Employment Exchanges.

So far as State assisted schemes for the relief of unemployment are concerned there were two such schemes in operation in the Faversham Division employing 212 men at the 30th October, 1932.
