HC Deb 01 December 1932 vol 272 c964
18. Mr. McENTEE

asked the Minister of Labour the number of boys and girls under the age of 17 unemployed in each county in England and Wales and particulars of the steps being taken to find employment for such boys and girls at normal wages?

Sir H. BETTERTON

I regret that separate figures are not available for this age group. There are throughout England and Wales a large number of local committees for juvenile employment who undertake to advise boys and girls about careers and assist them to find suitable employment, and I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the last report on the work of these committees.
