HC Deb 21 April 1932 vol 264 c1630
33. Mr. HALL-CAINE

asked the Minister of Agriculture what steps are being taken to obtain before the Ottawa Conference estimates as to the maximum extent to which farm produce from Empire sources can be imported into Great Britain without encroaching upon British agricultural interests?

Sir J. GILMOUR

It is not practicable to explain the detailed steps which are being taken in the direction suggested by my hon. Friend. I can, however, assure him that every aspect of the agricultural problem is being thoroughly examined as part of the preparations which are being made for the Ottawa Conference.
