HC Deb 21 April 1932 vol 264 cc1629-30
32. Mr. RICHARD RUSSELL

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he can give details of the amount of cheese produced in the several varieties in the United Kingdom?

Sir J. GILMOUR

I regret that I am unable to give this information. I hope, however, that when the results of the inquiries undertaken last year in connection with the Census of Production are available, it may be possible to make some estimates of the production of the more important varieties of cheese.

Mr. T. WILLIAMS

Will the right hon. Gentleman say whether or not the commission dealing with milk and milk products will have available such information as is sought in this question?

Sir J. GILMOUR

We will try to get all the information possible.
