HC Deb 18 November 1931 vol 259 c848
42. Mr. HALL-CAINE

asked the Prime Minister how many parts of our Overseas territories will be visited by the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs; whether it is intended that a similar visit shall be paid to any of the Colonies; and, if so, to which and by whom?

The PRIME MINISTER

As regards the first part of the question, I would invite my hon. Friend's attention to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Dominions Affairs to my hon. Friend the Member for Gravesend (Mr. Albery) yesterday. As regards the second and third parts of the question, I know that the Secretary of State for the Colonies hopes that it may be possible during his tenure of office to visit some of the colonial dependencies.
