HC Deb 18 November 1931 vol 259 c848
41. Mr. SMEDLEY CROOKE

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the misunderstanding arising by the similarity of the terms Labour Ministry and Labour party, he will alter the designation of the former to the Minister and Ministry of Employment?

The PRIME MINISTER

The suggestion of my hon. Friend would involve legislation which, in view of the claims of more pressing matters upon the time of the House, cannot be considered at the present moment.

Mr. M. W. BEAUMONT

Would not the same result be achieved if we called the official Opposition by their proper name of the Socialist party?
