§ Mr. AMMONFifty-nine lieutenant-commanders and lieutenants are now undergoing the courses mentioned. Only four applications for appointment to these courses were received from lieutenants, ex-mate, of suitable seniority, of whom two were selected for the Physical and Recreational Training course. The remaining two were, with the other candidates, considered on their merits but were not selected.
