HC Deb 13 May 1931 vol 252 cc1174-5
22. Sir B. FALLE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if the men of the Royal Navy or Army who may volunteer or be ordered to perform various duties and services at the Naval and Military Tournament will receive full compensation for any injuries they may receive; and what will be the position of the widow of a rating or soldier killed under such circumstances?

Mr. AMMON

Naval ratings employed at the Royal Tournament are regarded as on duty. Claims for compensation or pension due to injuries would therefore be dealt with under the ordinary regulations.

Sir B. FALLE

The hon. Member cannot say anything about the Army in that way?

Mr. AMMON

I cannot answer for the Army, but I understand that the position is the same.
