(for Mr. BOWEN) asked the Postmaster-General if he can give particulars of the pay of full-time established industrial and manipulative classes in the Post Office after the application of the bonus on 1st March, 1931, showing the approximate number of employés in receipt of inclusive remuneration exceeding £2 10s. but not exceeding £3 10s. per week; and the number of part-time employés and their range of pay?

There are approximately 126,000 established full-time industrial and manipulative employés of the Post Office, of whom about 70,000 are in receipt of remuneration, including bonus at the current rate, exceeding £2 10s. but not exceeding £3 10s. per week. The total number of part-time employés is approximately 28,000. Their pay varies according to the number of hours worked and ranges from a few shillings up to about 42s. a week.
