asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the duties on which the minesweepers "Forres" and "Carstairs" are employed; and the total annual cost, the complement of officers and ratings, and the annual salaries and wages bill for each vessel?

Mr. ALEXANDER

His Majesty's Ship "Forres" is tender to the Royal Naval College at Dartmouth, and His Majesty's Ship "Carstairs" is tender to His Majesty's Ship "Erebus" at Devonport. Both vessels are attached for the training of cadets. The information regarding the two vessels is as follows:
