HC Deb 06 November 1930 vol 244 cc1023-4
44. Sir K. WOOD

asked the Home Secretary what is the present position of the proceedings against Mr. Gialdini?

Mr. CLYNES

The proceedings in Italy are still in progress. A further request has just been received from the Italian Government for supplementary evidence to be taken in this country, and effect is being given thereto.

Sir K. WOOD

Is there any reason to say that this very considerable delay is due in any way to the British authorities?

Mr. CLYNES

So far as there has been delay, I do not think it is due to anything on our part.
