HC Deb 22 May 1930 vol 239 c578
72. Mr. MARJORIBANKS

asked the Minister of Pensions whether, seeing that, according to Article 17B of the warrant, a widow must prove that her husband died wholly as a result of war service, and in view of the difficulty of proving this after so long a period between service and death, he will consider the modification of the word wholly?

The MINISTER of PENSIONS (Mr. F. O. Roberts)

The modification suggested is not called for since provision is already made in another portion of Article 17 for cases in which the pensioner's death, while not wholly due to war service, is certified to have been materially accelerated by it.
