asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received any information concerning a proposed United States of Europe; and what steps, if any, he proposes to take in the matter?

Yes, Sir. My right hon. Friend has received from the French Government a memorandum containing certain suggestions regarding the organisation of a system of federal union in Europe. His Majesty's Government will lose no time in giving these suggestions their most earnest consideration.
