HC Deb 24 July 1930 vol 241 cc2405-6
50. Dr. DAVIES

(for Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE) asked the Minister of Health whether he can state the average claims for sickness benefit per 1,000 contributions to national health insurance in the case of men and women, respectively?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I regret that I have no statistics as to the relationship between the average claims for sickness benefit and number of contributions. An analysis of the number and duration of claims in each of the years 1921–1927 will, however, be found in Table B of the report by the Government Actuary (Cmd. 3548), a copy of which I am sending to the hon. Member.
