§ Earl WINTERTONI am sending the hon. Member a copy of the circular letter issued by the Government of India to Provincial Governments indicating the general scope of the proposed banking inquiry. In view of the fact that there is a great deal of preparatory work to be carried through by the Central and Provincial Committees in India, it is not expected that the experts, who it is proposed should co-operate with the Central Committee, will be required for some considerable time In the circumstances I am not in a position to add anything at present to the information contained in the circular letter, the substance of which has already been published.
