HC Deb 18 February 1929 vol 225 cc775-6
40. Mr. KELLY

asked the Minister of Labour the number of boys, 16 years of age and under, who have been sent to London from distressed areas under the transference scheme; and whether any provision is made for lodging the boys placed in employment at Wembley, seeing that their wages are inadequate to pay the cost of board and lodgings current in that district?

Mr. BETTERTON

I am having inquiries made and will communicate with the hon. Member as soon as I have received the necessary information.
