HC Deb 18 February 1929 vol 225 cc777-8
47. Mr. AMMON

asked the President of the Board of Education whether his attention has been drawn to the lack of elementary educational facilities at Alsager; whether the complaints tabulated at a meeting of ratepayers in that district on 25th January has been brought to the notice of his Department; and what steps have been taken, or are contemplated, with a view to the existing state of affairs being remedied?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Lord Eustace Percy)

The complaints referred to have not been brought to my notice. If any such complaints are received, I will of course have them investigated.

Mr. AMMON

Has the Noble Lord seen the report of a committee which condemned the school as being insanitary and having a damp playground?

Lord E. PERCY

No, I have seen no such report at all.
