Mr. BUCHANANasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that certain members of the workpeople's panel on the court of referees in Glasgow, and particularly women members, had never been invited to sit on any court, while at the same time courts have not had any workpeople's representative attending; and if he will take steps to have this remedied?

STEEL-MAITLANDI am not aware that there has been any departure in Glasgow from the rule that each member of the panel shall, so far as 1759 practicable, be summoned to serve in turn upon the court, but, if the hon. Member will furnish me with the name of any person who he suggests has not been called in turn, I shall be glad to make inquiries.
