Mr. HARRISasked the President of the Board of Education whether the 2157 Board has considered the possibility of issuing in a convenient form, similar to that of the special reports on educational subjects, the regulations, administrative memoranda, reports, and circulars issued by the Board; and whether it is contemplated re-issuing the volume of Suggestions for Teachers?
Duchess of ATHOLLThe Board have under consideration the question of the most convenient form in which reports, etc., upon educational subjects might be published, but my right hon. Friend does not think that their regulations, administrative memoranda, and circulars would lend themselves to exactly similar treatment. The latter are already issued in numbered series and, as the hon. Member may be aware, a, revision and renumbering of the grant regulations was undertaken last year. A revised edition of the Suggestions for Teachers will be issued very shortly.
