§ 4. Sir WALTER de FRECEasked the Minister of Pensions whether the attention of his Department is called, and, if so, how frequently, to attempts to attach any part of the pensions of disabled men for debt; and whether in all such cases the legal position is made quite clear to all concerned?
§ Major TRYONApplications are occasionally made for the purpose of attaching the pension of an officer or man for civil debt, but, unless (as is very rarely the case) there is statutory authority for this course, these applications are invariably rejected, the practice being to inform the applicant that the Minister is precluded by Statute from granting his application.
