HC Deb 20 July 1927 vol 209 c392
45. Mr. G. HALL

asked the Prime Minister if he is aware that some 68,000 men are unemployed in the South Wales coalfield and that numbers of collieries are closing down, while others are working short times; and what steps the Government propose taking to deal with the situation?

Sir B. CHADWICK

I have been asked to reply. These matters were fully discussed during the Debate last week, and I have nothing further to add.
