§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Mr. Betterton)At 21st March, 1927, the number of insured persons classified as belonging to the coal mining industry recorded as unemployed in the County of Fife was 4,403. Of these, 3,972 had claims to unemployment benefit current at that date, but I am unable to say how many were in receipt of benefit.
