HC Deb 26 April 1927 vol 205 cc670-1
48. Mr. AMMON

asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the recent decision in the King's Bench Division in the case of Carling v. Lebbon, which discloses an anomaly whereby old age pensions under the Widows', Orphans', and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act are held to limit payment of damages for loss of life under the Fatal Accidents Damages Act, 1908; and will he introduce amending legislation to remedy this defect?

Sir K. WOOD

The decision referred to has been noted for consideration when amending legislation is contemplated.
