HC Deb 09 November 1926 vol 199 cc867-8
38. Sir H. BRITTAIN

asked the Postmaster-General whether he can give approximate figures of the loss sustained on telegrams during the past 12 months?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

I gave the figures which my hon. Friend desires in the Debate on the Post Office Estimates on 14th July last to which I would invite him to refer. Including interest and depreciation, the deficiency was about £1,300,000.
