HC Deb 04 May 1926 vol 195 c197
41. Sir HARRY BRITTAIN

asked the Postmaster-General if he is aware that Australia is perfectly ready and prepared to co-operate with Great Britain in experimenting in wireless telephony; and whether he will do all that is possible to see that such experiments be made in the near future.?

Viscount WOLMER

I have seen a statement that there are wireless stations in Australia capable of telephonic communication with this country, and I have telegraphed to the Australian authorities asking for particulars, and stating that, if suitable stations are available, the British Post Office would welcome the opportunity of conducting experiments in wireless telephony between Great Britain and Australia.

Sir H. BRITTAIN

May I put this question down in a week's time?
