HC Deb 04 May 1926 vol 195 cc196-7
40. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Postmaster-General, if he is aware of complaints of delays in wireless Press messages sent via Egypradio from London to Jerusalem, some of them taking 25 to 30 hours before delivery; what is the cause of these delays; and whether steps are being taken to improve the service.

Viscount WOLMER

I am not aware of any recent complaints of excessive delay in the transmission of Press messages between London and Jerusalem. If the hon. and gallant Member will furnish me with particulars of the cases he has in mind, I will have them investigated, and inform him of the result.
