HC Deb 17 November 1925 vol 188 c189
31. Commander BELLAIRS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of events producing changes in the Budget Estimates, whether it is anticipated that revenue and expenditure will balance; and, if not, whether fresh proposals are to be made?

Mr. CHURCHILL

It would be premature to forecast the out-turn of the year's finance, but I have no reason at present to believe that the Budget, apart from the coal subvention, will not be realised. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.

32. Commander BELLAIRS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what changes have been made, or are contemplated, as the result of the Economy Committees that have been set up?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer given yesterday by the Prime Minister in reply to questions by the hon. Members for Blackpool (Sir W. de Frece) and the Western Isles (Mr. Mackenzie Livingstone).
