HC Deb 25 March 1925 vol 182 c437
8. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he now has any information about the rising in Kurdistan; what is the present position; and what effect this is having on the peace and tranquillity of the vilayet of Mosul?

Mr. McNEILL

I am still unable to give the hon. and gallant Member any authoritative information about the present position in Kurdistan, as the news issued by the Turkish authorities is scanty. But I gather that, while the insurgents have made no progress, a considerable Turkish military force is being concentrated in the disaffected districts. His Majesty's Government have no information to show that the vilayet of Mosul is in any way affected by these events.
