HC Deb 12 March 1925 vol 181 c1520
101. Mr. MACPHERSON

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if any steps have been taken, or are to be taken, to decontrol the licensed hotels in Scotland, particularly in the neighbourhood of the Moray Firth?

The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. William Watson)

I have been asked to reply. The hotels in the two Scottish State Management Districts specified in the Licensing Act, 1921, are at present under the management of my right hon. Friend the-Secretary for Scotland, and no steps are being taken to modify that arrangement.
