HC Deb 12 March 1925 vol 181 c1512
73. Mr. H. WILLIAMS

asked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the report of the inspectors of his Department recently submitted to the West Bromwich Board of Guardians as to the insanitary conditions prevailing in the union of parishes concerned, particularly in the parish of Wednesbury; and, if so, what steps he proposes taking?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I have been in communication with the Wednesbury Corporation on the subject of the report to which my hon. Friend refers. The council have undertaken that they will use every endeavour within their statutory powers to remedy such defects as exist in the borough and they are endeavouring to arrange for sites for the erection of further houses.
