HC Deb 27 July 1925 vol 187 c35
68. Mr. HURD

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer under what conditions Dominion securities are included in the Treasury list for trustee investments; and whether that part of the new Australian loan which is to be raised in the United States will be included in the list?

Mr. GUINNESS

The conditions are laid down in the Colonial Stock Act, 1900, and in the Treasury Order of the 6th December, 1900 (Statutory Rules and Orders 926 of 1900) of which I am sending my hon. Friend a copy. That part of the new Australian loan which is being raised in the United States of America is not "registered in the United Kingdom in accordance with the provisions of the Colonial Stock Acts, 1877 and 1892," and is, therefore, ineligible for inclusion in the list kept under Section 2 of the Act of 3900 and is not a trustee security.
