HC Deb 27 July 1925 vol 187 c36
66. Mr. BECKETT

asked the Home Secretary if he has received a request for permission to stay in this country from Mr. Fiedler, of 34, Finn Street, Gates-head; if he is aware that this man was brought up here and has an English wife and children who know no other country; that Mr. Fiedler applied to the Home Office months ago for an extension of his permit; that in spite of repeated applications from the man and other interested persons no reply of any kind can be obtained: and whether he intends to extend this man's permit as from 31st July?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

I have duly considered this case about which the hon. Member wrote to me on the 8th instant, and I have decided to extend for a further six months the period for which Mr. Fiedler has permission to stay in this country.
