§ 60. Mr. EVERARDasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the burdens which the Milk and Dairies (Consolidation) Act, 1915, is likely to place on the owners and occupiers of agricultural 1838 holdings, he will consider the further postponement of the operation of this Act?
§ Sir K. WOODI think my hon. Friend is unduly apprehensive as to the probable effect of the Act on the owners and occupiers of agricultural holdings, and, in view of its importance as a public health measure, my right hon. Friend cannot contemplate the introduction of legislation to provide for its further postponement.
§ Sir HENRY CAUTLEYWill the Minister take steps to provide an opportunity for debating this matter in the House, along with the Tuberculosis Order?
§ Sir K. WOODPerhaps the hon. Member will put that question on the Paper.
§ Mr. HURDWill care be taken to ascertain agricultural opinion on this matter before issuing Orders, having regard to the difficulties which have arisen over other Orders?
§ Sir K. WOODThis is not a question of issuing an Order, but of an Act.
