HC Deb 22 July 1924 vol 176 cc1115-6
60. Mr. J. HARRIS

asked the Minister of Transport whether an intimation has been made to the authorities concerned that the Government are prepared to defray the whole cost, approximately £500,000, of reconstructing that part of the Perth to Inverness road which lies between Blair Atholl and Inverness; and, if so, from what funds will this expenditure be made seeing that the work is being undertaken largely for the benefit of unskilled labour which is now unemployed in the North of Scotland?

Mr. GOSLING

No such intimation has been made, and the second part of the question does not therefore arise.
